The Chevrolet captive is the first entry of General Motors in to the SUV segment. The exterior look is good and the interiors are spacey and comfy. This independent suspension laden car is a tough one and handles easily on all road conditions. The transmission is 5 speed manual type. This car comes with a powerful 2.0 liter turbo charged VCDI fuel injection type engine. This SUV comes with a solid power of 148 BHP and can go from 0 to 100 Kmph in 11 seconds flat. An amazing fact considering the fuel type and size of the car! The special turbo charger keeps the engine purring and steady in congested city conditions. This car has only one variant called the LT.

The exteriors of this SUV are great and its six spoke alloy wheels add a distinct sporty flavor to its looks. The bumpers come with a silvery satin finish. The interiors are very spacious and comfortable. The dashboard has a brushed aluminum finish in an overall matte black color. The instrument panels are placed in chrome-ringed bezels, which give it a very sporty look. Comes with an 8 way adjustable seat for the driver and the rear two rows are adjustable and foldable. The air conditioner and audio controls are very easily accessible to the driver and there are audio controls on the steering too.

The mileage of this car is very impressive as it gives 9 kmpl in city conditions and 12 on the highway. This big car is easy to handle and the interiors are very spacious. However, the interiors leave a lot to be desired. GM can concentrate on this feature to improve its market figures. This SUV is positioned against the CRV and the Endeavor. An SUV that will make an impression in the market very slowly but this car is definitely worth a try.
