Left arm spinner, cricketer Gagandeep Singh was shot dead accidentally by someone unknown on Friday in Meerut. The 18 year old guy was the part of the under 19 squad of Indian cricket team. Gagandeep went to eat kebab in a shop where some customers and the shopkeeper went into a fight. Some accidental bullet hit him, which killed Gagandeep Singh. From the reports that are coming so far, one child is known to be injured in the shooting and Gagandeep Singh has died at the way to the hospital.
Gagandeep Singh has recently played against Australia with the under 19 Indian cricket team. The death of Gagandeep Singh is certainly a big loss to the Indian cricket.
So far, police has arrested a suspect how is expected to be involved in the shooting. The name of the arrested guy is, “Rahul Sirohi”, he has been arrested with a pistol and some bullets.
This event has also raised the questions of the safety and security of the state of Uttar Pradesh. If people can be killed so easily and guns and bullets are so easy to have access, things will certainly be as bad as this event. Also, the mother of the guy arrested is a cop, which make things even worse. U.P. also has the highest number of arms licenses. Its time for the authorities to wake up, else India will keep losing young 18 year old gems.

Sad end for a promising star of Indian Cricket.
