Hate Campaign – Prison is the Place for Raj Thackeray

The drama for the time is over. The helpless nation was forced one afternoon to witness the government-managed drama of the arrest of Mr. Raj Thackeray, the Maharastra Nav Nirman Sena [MNS] chief, and his much-expected release on bell the very next day. The MNS chief was arrested for instigating his followers against the Biharis in particular and the people of north India in general. His anti north Indian feeling did not spare even people like Amitabh Bachchan, the super star of Indian screen and his wife Jaya bachchan. Their fault was that they took pride in being from UP and loving the national language Hindi!

Raj Thackeray, like his more famous uncle Bala Saheb Thackeray can not tolerate people from North India, especially those from UP and Bihar, earning their livelihood in Maharastra. One cannot forget that only in last march [2008] Bala Saheb aired his anti Bihari views in most objectionable language when he wrote in his editorial in “Saamna” – “Bihari MPs are like insects in cow dung” and, “Biharis are unwanted elements throughout India”. Now, Bala Saheb’s nephew, Raj Thackeray in his eagerness to score over his uncle has with the help of his zealous supporters started direct actions against the North Indians [read Biharis] – thrashing them, looting their property, torching their shops and other belongings and resorting to all sorts of mischief. Recently the MNS goons crosses all limits when they beat up the North Indian candidates who had gone to Mumbai to take a railway recruiting board examination for the post of assistant station master, guards and office assistants. The MNS activities angered the people all over India and there was furor in the parliament and the demand for Raj’s arrest. Meanwhile, emboldened by the state governments in action against him, Raj challenged the Maharashtra Government to arrest him. He claimed “entire Maharashtra would be on fire, if the government dared to lay its hands on him”. This reminded one of the days of Lal Krishna Advani’s rathyatra throughout India. Lalu Prasad, the then chief minister of Bihar, declared that if Advani enters Bihar with his rath, he will be arrested and Advani bragged that in such a case the entire country would rise against Lalu. Advani was arrested near Dumka, now in Jharkhand, and Lalu Prasad became a hero.

In Raj Thackeray’s case, the Maharashtra government had it’s own political compulsions in not arresting the MNS chief. Clearly the Vilasrao Deshmukh government was unwilling to make the MNS chief a martyr by arresting him. Secondly, with the elections round the corner the ruling party was unwilling to take any risk of antagonizing the Maratha mass, which might be having some sympathy with the Raj Thackeray’s parochial politics. It had also the non-maharashtrians voters to please. So the government cleverly chose a middle path of arresting the villain and getting him released in no time.

What followed this drama is an eye opener for the government and out politicians. While in Maharastra, the attack on the life and property of the north Indians continued, the anti Marathi wave ran through various parts of Bihar and UP. Where irate mobs attacked the houses of institutions of the Maharashtrians. In several parts of Bihar, students protesting against MNS high handedness went on rampage damaging government and private property worth Crores of Rs. This is seer madness. The state government of Bihar went soft with the protesters for obvious reasons. But in democracy such things are not done. According to Indian constitution every Indian has a right to his property and he has the right to move to and earn his livelihood in any part of India. Those who deny him this right are punishable under the law of the land. The government which fails to protest these rights for it’s people has no right to rule.

It is shameful and lamentable that the MNS chief should walk freely even after his anti national and anti constitutional speeches and activities, which are clearly a threat to national unity. His proper place is in the jail. Political parties of all hue should stand up against people like Raj Thackeray. They must rise above their party level rivalry and unite together to condemn such narrow politics. Because activities like those of Raj Thackeray are directly threats to the nation’s unity. Hence, the politicians and the administrators both should act in a manner so that such anti national activities are nipped in the bud itself. Because people like Raj and Bala Saheb Thackeray are dangers to the Indian union. There is perhaps nothing wrong in loving ones own birthplace and ones state. But one must remember that the nation comes first. People who work against the unity of India and spread hatred among its citizens against each other on the basis of cast, religion, provincialism etc. should be treated as anti nationals by the law of the land.

Yes, we all should support Raj Thackeray and take his initiative ahead by doing more…
    1. We should teach our kids that if he is second in class, don’t study harder.. just beat up the student coming first and throw him out of the school
    2. Parliament should have only Delhiites as it is located in Delhi
    3. Prime-minister, president and all other leaders should only be from Delhi
    4. No Hindi movie should be made in Bombay. Only Marathi.
    5. At every state border, buses, trains, flights should be stopped and staff changed to local men
    6. All Maharashtrians working abroad or in other states should be sent back as they are SNATCHING employment from Locals
    7. Lord Shiv, Ganesha and Parvati should not be worshiped in our state as they belong to north (Himalayas)
    8. Visits to Taj Mahal should be restricted to people from UP only
    9. Relief for farmers in Maharashtra should not come from centre because that is the money collected as Tax from whole of India, so why should it be given to someone in Maharashtra?
    10. Let’s support Kashmiri Militants because they are right in killing and injuring innocent people for the benefit of their state and community..
    11. Let’s throw all MNCs out of Maharashtra, why should they earn from us? We will open our own Maharashtra Microsoft, MH Pepsi and MH Marutis of the world
    12. Let’s stop using cellphones, emails, TV, foreign Movies and dramas. James Bond should speak Marathi
    13. We should be ready to die hungry or buy food at 10 times higher price but should not accept imports from other states
    14. We should not allow any industry to be setup in Maharashtra because all machinery comes from outside
    15. We should STOP using local trains… Trains are not manufactured by Marathi manoos and Railway Minister is a Bihari
    16. Ensure that all our children are born, grow, live and die without ever stepping out of Maharasthra, then they will become true Marathis

But all these are only for Marathi peoples.
RAJ THACKERAY is excluded from this…

His children are going to English medium school but any other Marathi children must go to Marathi schools…..
His child selected German as a language when given an option of German or Marathi. This is what ‘So Called Marathi Manoos’

    Nice post dude :

my 2 cents on this: (kind of lenghthy all of the things I say below but LOLS :-) I am just a common hindi man with a lot on my mind)

Well, as is clear, this issue not just strikes chords in Mrathi hearts but all over the country, and we have a similarity here, all we can get from witnessing what ppl like Raj do is a feeling of melancholy because……… well I dont know, its maybe that we do know that a) the problem is real,
    b) Raj Thackeray doesn’t have a solution. In fact what he is doing is very very horrific and c)contemplating solutions, one can’t think of what to do…

    1 The entire media,
2 Intelligentsia like yourself speaking out, writing editorials in the papers,
3 The aam admi speaking out everywhere, on the streets, blogs and forums being filled with hate msgs
4 Small politicians first and then political heavy weights from Bihar/UP and the belt giving it all they have and giving it together couldn’t thwart “VOTEBANK CONSIDERATIONS”

A man like Raj Thackeray can get atrocities done, spew venom and get away, while the bigger badass whose story you recalled-his uncle has been on lungi’s back first and then has been the cause of the loss of the lives of so many Muslim Indians and we are forced to ****ing call him a great man, even Amitabh Bachchan,, in public,, has to go excessive and say how larger than life Balasaheb is, that Balaji is family and other **** which really stinks …. this is India man and we ****ing have to live with this…. a million ****S!!

Dont dream of action against him go and watch Heroes to see our filmy heros saying patriotic things or see Golmaal returns and just forget it chill…

Man, don’t forget that we (the people of Bihar cum UP) are the ****ing cream of this country when it comes to education, getting in to high posts through competitions, in top education institutes like IIT’s n IIM’s, go look anywhere, marketing, journalism, technical fields, any-****ing-where, you will find us at the top. Don’t ****ing underestimate us… the culture n religion of this country spawned from our lands n we ruled this ****ing country till now and will continue to do so, we control the media, politics, entertainment, whatever!!!

this claiming-to-be-well-read-intelligent-visionary but a cheap wanna be ‘politician’ Raj Thackeray continues to gives fiery speeches, cites examples from history of all over the world but the fact is that he doesn’t have a clue. He tells the frustrated Maharshtrians what he thinks is the cause of all of the problems of Maharashtra. Of course he tells them so because when growing up, ‘politician’ uncle Bala told him so. Of course Bala uncle didn’t have a clue either, somebody in a lungi molested him in his own childhood and he tried taking revenge on all lungi’s when he grew up.

The stupid **** has made it sound like Mumbai is ****ing Singapore or Dubai and Bihar cum UP are as bad as Africa to the globe, the differences aren’t that bad!! it can’t even be faked!! Its common knowledge that the British developed Bombay city as a port and well, we can thank them and all of the communities in Mumbai since independence who made it the great city it is now. (of course that includes the Marathi community also which has always been here in big numbers) while farmers continue to commit suicide, youth instigated by such netas as Raj himself carry on the violence, the truth is that rural and semi urban Maharashtra has some of the highest number of Rapes and Murders in the country while development just isn’t reaching these inner parts of the state, it’s limited to major urban centers like Puna, Nashik, Mumbai only…

  6. raj the rule says:

this hasn’t been discussed here in lengths but let’s see were it goes.

the north indian backed news channels have hijacked this issue completely. there now using there channel as some kind of a personal attack toy against raj thackray – unbiased views be damned. the recent encounter of a kid carrying a GUN on a commuter bus has been politicized by politicians as lallu yadav and other thieves in UP/bihar. but even more politicized by news channels.

the real issue is not raj thackray or the MNS or the north indians but it’s the worthlessness of UP/bihar. since independence, they have been the largest exporters of unemployed youth not just to different parts of india but also to the world at large. the migrants exercised a huge opportunity during the 1960-70’s. resulting in a huge demography change in the city. even today the number of UP/bihar folks working in govt. houses in mumbai is huge. the marathi stock started migrating after the late 80’s and early 90’s and were surprised to find this weird demography of the city. result was that they got pissed and angry.

it’s amazing that no north-india backed news channel has questioned the worthlessness of the UP/bihar govt. in providing jobs to the local stock or attracting industries there.

assurances and fulfillment of water/sanitation, electricity, transport, SECURITY is what is needed to attract industries. after 60 years of independence, bihar/UP has a long way to go. muslim appeasement/vote bank politics is all they seem to know. there latest agenda: lift the ban on SIMI!!!

the other thing which most people have been saying is that indians are free to go work where ever they want. this is not true entirely to it’s context. india is a combination of several states with different ethnicity’s – all different from each other tiny little countries. every state was orally assured autonomy and sovereignty when they joined each other. regional laws have to be followed even if there not in the book. it’ an understanding. a person in kerala has no right commanding a state of karnataka. like wise, a railway ministry leader has no right commanding a sovereign state like maharashtra. lallu has no right sending ppl from his state working in maharashtra or other state since he has failed in providing jobs in his own state. if he does then he will have to face the consequences. if a state finds that it has lost all it’s administration rights to some other state called delhi or UP then that state might protest and ask for a separate country like kashmir or our north indian states are doing. the centre is playing dangerous politics trying to control the lives of maharashtrians.

if there are people coming in then there should be equal people going out. UP and bihar is not where people go to find jobs. so the balance has been breached. and naturally, these states will face the grudges. it’s the price they pay for not contributing equally to the society or the country.

here’s my futuristic scenario of UP/bihar for the year 2015:
-the conditions in UP/bihar will prevail.
-people will continue to come to maharashtra for jobs
-the maharshtrians will continue to grudge against north-indians
-politicians in UP/bihar will cry regionalism and hatred
-people of UP/bihar will burn down more trains
-no one will blame the useless UP/bihar govt.
-20 more news channels from north-india will spring up calling for a ban on shiv sena/MNS
-leaders from UP/bihar will continue to be hailed as a possible PM candidate
-long story short. refer conditions of 2008

long live india and indian logic.
