IPL Kolkata Knight Riders – Buchanan did a Chappell

Shah Rukh Khan, the owner of Kolkata Knight Riders and team management John Buchanan has done a Greg chapel act finally. Days before the tournament, IPL, was about to start, some random news started to flow about the captaincy issue of Kolkata Knight Riders. Coach John Buchanan talked about his multiple captain theory, which was returned by Saurav Ganguly with a multiple coach theory. Finally, Shah Rukh Khan, being a non-Bengali could not understand the Kolkata emotion at all, and removed Saurav Ganguly from the captaincy.

So, why is all this important, why remove Saurav Ganguly from the captaincy? I guess that Shah Rukh wanted to show who is the boss and he wanted a bit of publicity also. He has seen how Greg chapel – Saurav Ganguly issue got fire in the media. Another such controversy with Shah Rukh – John Buchanan – Saurav Ganguly will be helpful to give his team and himself more air in the media. Up to some extent it was successful too, but since Malaya has already done this last time with dravid, so Shah Rukh failed to see more drama come out of it.

Now here is my answer to Mr. Shah Rukh Khan – why don’t you just change the team name to “Shah Rukh Khan knight riders” why not remove Kolkata out of it? You have lost every single fan from Kolkata when you dared insulted Saurav and take his captaincy from him. Mr. Shan Rukh, you are no longer my favorite actor and am sure another 20 Crore Bengali’s think the same. Why come to Kolkata? Why insult us? Why not buy the Mumbai team and play with the reputation of Sachin Tendulkar? Let me ask you guys a question, if tomorrow I buy the Mumbai team and take the captaincy from Sachin Tendulkar or for that matter kick Sachin out of the team, how will you guys think of me?

I have stopped watching international cricket in 2005 when Saurav Ganguly was removed from the team. He was removed after he scored a century; I know we Indians are very racist! But remember every insult will be returned, so don’t worry. Most disheartening fact was the display of the middle finger by Mr. Greg Chappell, an Australian, the then coach of team India. Go to Kolkata and ask any guy about his thoughts on Chappell, and he will tell you how much we hate him.

So, who to blame? Non other than Saurav Ganguly. He has not learnt from his mistakes, took in another Australian coach. May be this time he has trusted Shah Rukh Khan, but even that turned out to be a big mistake.

Now here is what I read in a recent interview of Shah Rukh Khan, “I get strange hate mails from people for taking decision for the team’s sake,” Team’s sake? Teams sake? You think that Brendon McCullum will make a better captain? Don’t you get it that John Buchanan is trying to insult Saurav Ganguly just like his Australian friend Greg Chappell. “But that is okay, I’m saving them all so that I can go to each house and say (the KKR anthem) Korbo, Lorbo, Jeetbo…,” he added.” Now here is how I see the meaning of this anthem – “Korbo – you have already done it, insulted our only hero, Lorbo – again you did it, you fought our only hero and “Jeetbo” done this too, took the captaincy from him”

Saurav Ganguly was taking all the attention due to his powerful personality, which was over shadowing Mr. Shah Rukh khan, and after all this, I see Shah Rukh finally getting the media attention, so carry on your foul game, Shah Rukh.
