Travian Online Browser Game Guide – The Teutons Guide

Travian is a very popular online game; it’s the warcraft type of a game, which can be played online on your browser without having to download anything. This is the first of the many more guides am going to write and this is going to be about the Teuton tribe.
Travian has many servers, from com1 to com9 international servers and many more country specific servers as well. A server lasts for roughly 14 months then it restarts. So the first step is to just wait for a server to start. Once it starts register as a Teuton and start playing as soon as you can because a slight delay in joining will mean the difference between the top 10 players and the top 1000. Below is the step by step guide to play Travian as a Teuton.
- Click on the taskmaster and choose not to play the tasks. Then the taskmaster will start giving you some resources. Remember, by following the taskmaster you can get a lot more resources but those tasks will be a hindrance in the path of your success. When you stop the taskmaster you will get a few 200+ of each resources that will come in 10 hours time. Start fetching them as and when they are available.
- Next start upgrading your main building to level 3 and build a rally point. This is the minimum for getting a barrack. Once you build a barrack start researching as many clubswingers as you can. I suppose it will be 4+ clubs. Then wait for the first taskmasters gift resource to come. Have patience and reach up to 8 clubs, that won’t be too long though.
- Start looking for oasis near you, the clay and the iron ones have the least nature troops. Just find one with around 6 rats 4 spiders and 2 boars. That’s the lowest I got so far. Raid it, and 3 clubs will come back with some bounty. Wait for the taskmaster’s next resource and once it comes, build more clubs. Reach 7 more clubs and raid again. Keep raiding it and you will be on top of the raiders and attackers list.
- This is just a start though, don’t slow down. Build a lot more clubs and attack another oasis with very low nature troops. I usually end up with lots of paladins before the beginners’ protection ends though, that way you will not be in trouble when people start attacking you.

hi tell me onething how to find an oasis of so low nature troops. I am in server2. Also tell me dat once i attack an oasis and kill its troops are dey reborning.

What servers do you play on?
I think that this is bull****
When you build main to lvl 3, build rally point a barracks, you will have resourses on 2 clubs. And with first taskmaster support, you have 5 clubs. Then you send them on oasis and you will lost 4 of them. Then you have to wait about 25 hours to buidt next 5 o them. Then send them, and lost 3 of them, if you are lucky.
Overall, you will lose much much more than get, i tried it exactly as this guide says and exactly this happed.
8 clubs on first raid is total nonsence. thats 8×95 wood? Where you wanna get them? 3 main, rally point and barracks = 225 wood left + 214 from taskmaster ====> 439 ===> only 4 clubs, not 8
and paladins on end of the protection? thats thousands a thousands of material ===> flame!
does it really work? and how do you get paladins before BP ends? i thought they were like really good cavalry
paladins at the end of beginer’s protection, i have seen people do that, but i still have not… i would like to know how they do it too… but this guide is not about paladins, if i ever find out how they get paladins at the end of BP, i will make another guide for that. i got paladins at the end of biginer’s protection in servers that i had joined very late… in those servers the BP lasts a bit longer… may be due to the fact that those servers were on older travian versions…

How do they do it then?
I’v seen players with over 2000 in raids and the server has been running for less than two days.

i agree with desan, not the bull**** part though because i see that you proof your words by the screenshot. but you can only make 5 clubs after the first taskmaster support, and you have to wait for the second taskmaster support to make 3 more clubs.
8 clubs after the first taskmaster support is possible only if you were using gold to trade with the NPC. if you weren’t using gold at that time can you tell me the detail. well, i consider myself as a good travian player but i would love to learn from the best to be a better player…… hohohohoho
How’s losin 5 clubs to get 45 resource each better.. U start with 8 clubs.. Ur first raid u lose 5 of them… u wait to make the next 5.. n again lose 5.. so basically if u stayed put.. u’d hav 13+ clubs.. correct me if i’m wrong..

i was not using gold, all the free gold was kept unused. i keep the gold for later use… second taskmaster’s support also comes pretty quick, 10 hours i guess… If you use gold you can do npc and create more clubs, that will give you an even better start.
@KP–F9T, yes you lose some to gain some… but then once the oasis is clear, you will give you a regular source of resource.

thanks for your response and that is what i am doing right now (waiting for second taskmaster support) in my country local travian server…. and i found out that npc trade is only possible if you have market (forget about that one, hehehe)….
but as u said “you will be on top of the raiders and attackers list” (i am currently at the top of the raiders list)…..

but still thinking how can u make 8 clubs at first taskmaster support though…. hehehe
okie.. my recommendation to others is not to try this at all.. u may feature in the robbers list at just beginnin.. but actually you are at loss.. its a no-brainer.. the empty oasis is gonna give not much resources..

if you follow the straight way, you will end up with 2 clubs at the end of the task master’s quests… while this way you will have 10+ clubs at the same time… also this is just a method, not saying it is the best, however the 9 pop first step is the best way to start. then oasis raiding is an alternative, you can choose not to raid oasis and wait for the others to come out of the beginners protection and raid them…

now i have 10 cs and soon will launch an attack at 3rd oasis….
and by my count i can end up with 15 cs before bp is over….
i ended at top attacker and raider….
but there’s no medal for it though…. damn
and the top rank was already refreshed
did u get medals for top attacker and raider for 3 the first 3 day before it refresh the count sir author…???

the support guy told me that we don’t get the medal for the first week. but if you can maintain your run of top attacker or robber then at the end of the week you will get a medal

Hi… i am big Gaul Fan… since teutons have been a big headache for me.. i tried playing with them in another account…..i am not playing as per taskmaster, i got 9 clubs after 2nd resource gift from taskmaster… however i still won’t suggest raiding oasis and loosing clubs… rather do bit of hardwork.. look for farms around u… u still can get same resources from them without loosing any clubs…. i still have around 55 hours of protection left.. and i think with this speed i can have decent army to play as main force in my area…. however clubs are pathetic at defense.. so will try to get pala as quickly as possible.. still won’t be able to get them before BP expires…
i like gauls too, am a gaul in the currently ending server1, having 15 villages and 10k pop, lost the hammer though, it was a mini hammer with 1k haeuden and 6k swords, did some damage to the enemies
before it got killed, must have hit an anvil…
at first, i did not know how to play Travian. but now i am very addicted to this online game. i did not know that this game is very exciting. i cant wait to build the Wonder of the world.
builing a world wonder is every travian players dream, but not many are able to do so… you would need a very strong alliance too if you ever want to build a ww.
tell me how to find oasis of low nature troops.

if you hit the oasis early in the game, then the nature troops will be less, slowly as the game goes on the nature troops keeps increasing…
as i have posted previously, the clay and the iron oasis are having low troops. and you need to manually open the ones near you and see how many troops it contain,
if once i kill almost all nature troops of an oasis. then by wat rate it increases. and can i always attack and raid oasis or is there any limitation.
its hard to say at what rate, but they grow back in time. The best thing to do is to continuously hit them by repeated raids, that way you can keep them under control.
U dont have to build resurce?

farming is what keeps you ahead of others, otherwise everyone builds resources…

WOOOW man … al the time i was either folowing the task manager until i got my 20 golds.. or i just skip it and start building 3 clubs only per day ..
but i was never though that i can get my gifts without following the taskmanager,,
man u just solved the biggest mystery that i have … i always wondered how the hell the pull it out at the server start.. but now i understand

its just the approach to start the game, in the later months of the game, consistency is what keeps you ahead, initial quick start methods will only give you a start up lead…

i will have to check out the latest rules, i have not joined any new server after that, and as you can see its a long time back

as far as i remember, i got the resources more than one time…
OK, & do we get the gold from taskmaster if we chose “not to play task” which we get after his tasks ends?

am really busy these days so i can’t play, but am sure you will find someone good, try the travian forums,
and that’s a great stat you have, keep playing it consistently then you can do great at the endgame, and make sure you don’t keep clubs at base in the night time, always send them to attack some low pop village which is far away, so that by the time they return, its again your day time.
I always used to send clubs for a 6+ hours attack before going to bed, and in the morning i used to see them return

The WW is the ultimate reason why we play this game, that how it ends. However, i think our ww is not going that well, faced heavy attacks just little time back… Keep playing though, later in the game you will have a chance to get the ww or your alliance or alliance meta will have one.
i searched the faq too, its not available there… perhaps they have not updated it yet, however you can still ask the multi hunter and find out, the s1 will start in a matter of weeks so i will find it at that time
i don’t know for sure, but i will start it and am planning to play it as a gaul
don’t really know if i will manage to complete the server, playing for another 10+ months will take away too much of time… however, will surely start it
i would miss my 18 villages when i have to start fresh from one village again…
