No matter what’s your age, sex, caste, creed, region and other factors but still health problems have become so attached with our lives that it’s an important factor that occupies the mind of the individuals. One or the other in the family be it elders like grand parents or the small children fall ill too easily, the youth and the earning members also fall sick quite regularly thereby affecting the daily life of the persons. What’s more alarming is the allocation of expense on health related problems. Major expenditure is incurred on medicine. It starts right from the birth of the child till the death of the concern. A lot is expended if there are injuries and operations in the span of life, which is quite common in today’s scenario. The insurance companies have come up with many different plans be it mediclaims and other schemes. Tax structures also give special benefits on insurance.
Prevention is better than cure be it vaccination in the childhood. Thanks to the government’s initiative to give free polio drops and creating other awareness. What about the other common diseases such as cough and cold, fever and which happens every now and then. It is highly common in every household. These diseases reduce the efficiency and effect the production of the country. It’s the hindrance of the society. Many people are still ignorant about these vaccinations and don’t take the proper steps thereby creating a risk on others. There is a need to create awareness and to throw the diseases from the roots.
Cleanliness is the key to my problem solving. People of the country are very much worried about their houses and kitchens but the society is still dirty. There is need to come forward and make this world a better place to live in by following ways:
- The drains should be cleaned regularly. Water filtrate and drainage system should be made.
- The habit of using the dustbins is still missing. It is quite commonly seen that people throw the garbage of their house directly on the road, which is riverted, back by the passing vehicles. It’s an age-old tradition and legacy but the youth is still cling to it. The dustbins are too dirty to use with. Special reward and facilities should be given by society to the rag pickers, drainage cleaners and other people in this job.
- The storage of the food is also required to be cleaned up on the regular basis. The use of harmful chemicals is to be checked. Sabzi Mandis and bazaars selling the food products are to be properly controlled and managed.
- There is a need to educate the children about the good health habits like washing hands. Etc.
- The local water bodies be it ponds, lakes, rivers are used for washing animals, clothes etc. The water body is filled up with dirt and other materials. Cleaning drive must be done on regular basis.
It’s the duty of not only of government or municipal body or NGO but it’s the responsibility of the citizens of the country. The above-mentioned points are just some examples and there are many more to be done. To start with it might sound difficult but the benefits out of these will be too huge.
The expenses on hospitals or medicines are high. There are many big diseases in which there is no cure such as cancer in which the expense keeps busy through out the life. Some diseases are temporary but treatment is too costly.
Personal steps can be also very helpful such as food at regular intervals, proper sleeping habits, and yoga for few minutes, etc, which are very helpful.
Proper planning is also required to handle this issue. Insurance is good means to share the risk. There are many ways to reduce the harmful effects of the disease. When somebody is sick then steps must be taken at the earliest. The symptoms should not be hide or ignored. Local doctors should be consulted and medication should be done as prescribed. Natural remedies are also helpful. Money is important asset and should be used carefully. Health is wealth.
